Requirements

FAIRY runs on Windows 2000 and Windows Xp, as well as on Unix brands such as
for Sun Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and Mac OS X. FAIRY is no longer supported on older versions of Windows and non-server versions of Windows (such as Windows Me).
FAIRY manages a cache for fast access of css, html and font data files. The size of this
cache depends on the size of the web site itself. It is recommended that you have at least five times
the size of your web pages of free disk space for this purpose. For a typical corporate web site, this amounts to 25MB.
FAIRY Editions

FAIRY is a web server extension for Apache and IIS.
The following editions are available for each web server:
- FAIRY Light Edition - This is the light edition of FAIRY. It can be used on a single web site, and provides web font support for Microsoft Internet Explorer on Windows and Macintosh, much like when hosting EOT fonts created by the tool WEFT. Postscript and Bitmap font formats, complex languages, as well as CGI and server scripts are not supported.
- FAIRY Single Site Edition - This is the small office and home office edition, also known as the SOHO edition. Only one license may be used on a single machine for a single host. Virtual hosts cannot be supported with this edition, e.g. it can only be used for a single Internet domain per machine.
- FAIRY E-Commerce Edition - This is the corporate edition, which features ASP/CGI/JSP/PL/PHP/CFM support for e-commerce solutions and multi-processors (you may license OEM variants of this edition as well). The license allows for 8 virtual hosts and a single machine/cpu per license. The license may be combined to allow for servers with very large number of virtual hosts.
